PowerPoint Booklet

This template shows how to make a 12 page book using PowerPoint.  The difficulty level in this is low IF you can keep track of 2 different slide shows.  The first slide show will print on the front of a sheet and the second will HAVE to be printed upside down and on the back of the same sheet.  The story is on 11 pages because page one is the title page.  We use clipart online to illustrate or the students bring pics from home to scan and insert.

Directions:
Right click on the link and save target to a floppy diskette or your hard drive or just open the file and save it to your hard drive. After you have the template on your computer make your changes and print changing the options in the print setting to handouts with 6 slides per page.  Print the back template on the back of the first sheet with top slides matching on both sides.  Then tri-fold the paper, trim, and staple in the middle.

You can also do an online no staple book by going to this link:
http://www.readwritethink.org/materials/stapleless/index.html

We illustrated this project by drawing a picture in Paint with it zoomed (click view, zoom, large size).  Then glued it to the book after the book was printed.

Printing on Post It Notes In Word

This template can be used again and again.  Just type print a blank table then type your note in the cells of the Word document.  The area is fixed so it stays the same dimensions as the note. Next place Post its on each square.  The most important thing to remember is to feed the printer so the sticky side or the Post it note goes into the printer first.
